"Being required to bring a phone to get into the venue and then locking up the phone is not acceptable, although I don't mind not having my phone. I would prefer to simply leave the phone in the car and use a paper ticket for admission. Also, seeing several much larger purses than what was told would be allowed, after being told no purses or only a small purse. I need reading glasses that are much easier to carry in a purse, then separately. The admission process was poorly executed. The lines to get in were extremely long. We were in line before 6 pm with a very long line behind us, and it took us approximately 40 minutes to get into the venue. Then during the show, there were security people continually walking around verifying that no one had phones. It felt like we were under guard.
The show started 1 hour 15 minutes late. The first person (I understand he was a comedian) made fun of us for expecting the show to start at the stated time. I have watched The Boulevards previously and found their act to be quite funny. Not so much at this event. I honestly considered walking out halfway through, but I kept hoping the show would get better. Overall, the show was really not that humorous, was overpriced, and a disappointing event."
